On Thursday, the college’s English teachers offered an interactive language experience. They gave 150 sixth grade students the opportunity to participate in a drama program.
The English teachers at the Louis-Pasteur College invited the linguistic theater company Ma langue au chat. The latter intervenes in schools throughout France from elementary to high school. Young professional actors, English or German, present performances that arouse the interest and curiosity of students.
“Students and teachers were very excited and appreciated the interactive and fun side of the program,” says Marine Kim Hood, English teacher. The hour-long program consisted of three sketches read in class, entirely in English.

“Youngsters were also invited to come on stage and participate,” says the author. The program was followed by an hour-long workshop where the students played and participated in fun activities with the actors. Later, the class was able to ask them questions that had been prepared earlier.
“Goal achieved, says Marine Kim Hood. It’s to discover that you can learn a language while having fun, without even going all the way to London! »
