It’s a bargain beer price for a boxed drink.

Bud Light sales fell for the sixth consecutive week even as retailers slashed prices — with one store charging $3.49 for a 24-pack — to weed out unwanted beer as a national boycott of its partnership with Dylan Mulvaney continues.

Since Bud Light’s parent company, Anheuser-Busch, teamed up with transgender influencer Mulvaney, sales have dropped precipitously, and stores have been discounting the company’s products to get them off their shelves.

“This could be a promotional summer not seen since post-Katrina in 2005, when there was so much trade-subsidized beer stock that it started the price war of all price wars,” he said. Bear Business Daily said according to Fox Business.

The trade publication, which reviewed Nielsen IQ data, said Bud Light volumes for the week ended May 13 fell 28.4 percent, after a 27.7 percent drop in the previous week.

Anheuser-Busch’s other brands also took a hit, with volumes of Budweiser Red down 14.9 percent and Michelob Ultra down 6.8 percent for the same time period.

Meanwhile, competitors reaped the benefits of controversy, with Coors Light sales up 16.9 percent and Miller Light up 15.1 percent, according to the trade journal.

In a promotion for the company’s March Madness competition and to celebrate the first anniversary since Mulvaney began identifying as a woman, Bud Light gave the TikTok star and transgender activist a custom package of beer with her picture.

The promotion backfired and sparked a national boycott of beer. Anheuser-Busch lost nearly $19 billion as its shares fell 14 percent.
