The Golden State Warriors had some time to reflect after losing to the Los Angeles Lakers in the Western Conference Semifinals. After the exit, Warriors coach Steve Kerr told reporters that the group was “Not a championship teamHe explained in his exit interview on Tuesday, citing chemistry as a major roadblock.
There is no hiding from it – the Draymond Incident [Green] and Jordan [Poole] At the start of the year he played a part in this, Kerr saying “It’s hard not to affect a team.”

Amid Paul’s on-and-off struggles, the Warriors handled an 11-30 record on the road and ranked second to last in transition efficiency. For Kerr, the lack of trust among the team changed course.
“Anytime you lose some confidence, it makes the process more difficult, and you lose some confidence,” he said. “This is about as blunt as I can be. We have to get back to what made us really successful, which is a really trusting environment and a group that leans on each other and makes each other better.”
Green spoke with Stephen A. ESPN’s Smith during Game 1 of the Western Conference Finals on Tuesday and echoed Kerr’s sentiment. He said the Warriors “would have kept playing” had he not punched Paul. Green claimed that the altercation impaired his ability to drive in the locker room as he normally does. He also said that she forbade him from helping Paul, as their relationship had predictably been damaged.
When asked Saturday about how the situation will affect the season, Paul certainly had fewer words than Green.
“I mean, we’ve made it to the second round of the playoffs,” Paul said. “We had a good season, the guys progressed and had a lot of exciting moments. I don’t think there was anything that changed any of that.”
As asked about his relationship with Greene In an interview with The Ringer. “I don’t have an answer for you,” said Paul. “Otherwise, we were just on the field and our teammates, and we were trying to win games.”
Poole and Green are two faces of a group of key members the Dynasty Warriors could lose this season.
Green has a player option worth $27.6 million for the 2023-24 season. If he declines, he will become an unrestricted free agent. Warriors Chief of Basketball Operations Bob Myers, Jonathan Cuminga, Clay Thompson Even Kiir’s futures are said to be up in the air.
