Hrithik Roshan And Deepika “Fighter”, which was released on Thursday, had a good start at the box office. Considering it's a non-holiday release, the opening is decent but not up to expectations. This movie is a huge powerful action movie but the first day number of the movie is similar to the first day number of the movie Shah Rukh Khan's 'donkeyIn mass centers, which was a social comedy.
'Fighter' has grossed around Rs 22 crore on its opening day, across all languages according to Sacnilk.com, so, it cannot be termed as an instant hit. In fact, while the collection resembles 'Dunki' in mass centres, the Shah Rukh Khan starrer's total numbers were even greater – Rs 29 crore. But the good part is that there is expected to be a huge jump on Republic Day due to the holiday and there is also positive chatter and positive reviews for the film. On the second day, as per the progress, the film is expected to collect Rs 35 crore. What should also play a role in determining a film's success is how it performs over the long weekend, especially on Sunday.
This is the first big movie of 2024, so the trade was expecting a bigger crowd for it on its opening day. However, it has laid a good foundation on the second day and if it sees continued growth on Republic Day and over the weekend, the trade will have no complaints against it. The film is expected to cross Rs 100 crore in its first 4 days, till Sunday.
