This one is shocking: after the third season of the magician on me NetflixHenry Cavill will no longer play the show’s protagonist, Geralt of Rivia. From season four onwards, Cavill will be replaced by Liam Hemsworth.
Hemsworth announced the news on Saturday on his Instagram account.
“As a Witcher fan, I am extremely excited about the opportunity to play Geralt of Rivia,” wrote Hemsworth. “Henry Cavill Geralt has been wonderful, and I am honored that he handed me the reins and allowed me to take the blades of the white wolf in the next chapter of his adventure.”
Cavill also responded to the news on his Instagram.
“My journey with Geralt of Rivia has been full of monsters and adventures, and unfortunately I will put my medal and swords on for the fourth season,” he said. “In my place, the wonderful Mr. Liam Hemsworth will take on the mantle of the white wolf. As with the greatest of literary figures, I pass the torch with respect for the time I have spent embodied Geralt and enthusiasm to see Liam take this more brilliant and subtle than men.”
The Witcher has been a huge hit for Netflix since its release in 2019. The show’s third season won’t be released until halfway through 2023. Cavill hasn’t given a reason for his transition from the role, but it was recently revealed that he would be Return as Superman After a recent cameo in the DC movie black Adam.
