Apple has announced that it will hold a press event at its headquarters in Cupertino, California on September 12, where the company is expected to announce new iPhones.

The launch event will be streamed on the Apple website at 1 PM ET. Apple has been using pre-recorded videos to launch its iPhones since 2020.

New iPhone models, likely branded as iPhone 15, are expected to use a USB-C charging port, after the European Union passed a landmark law in October that requires all mobile phones, tablets and cameras sold in the EU to use USB-C. For wire shipping, with a deadline of December 28, 2024.

It has been reported that some of the new devices that Apple will debut could be made of titanium. The company may also announce new Apple Watch models at the event, including an updated version of the high-end Apple Watch Ultra.

Apple also usually releases the new version of iOS for iPhones in its September event. This year, iOS 17 includes a more visible caller ID called Contacts labels, better autocorrect, and a new History app.
