“I hope that as she returns to her duties and as things calm down, if there is any future editing, people will not analyze it to the extent they have now.”
“She's recovering, taking some time, and she took this family photo, and for whatever reason, she obviously wanted to edit some of it out, and I think that's a personal choice,” Harold added.
After retouching the photo exacerbated whispers about her health, the princess returned to social media to set the record straight about what happened.
“Like many amateur photographers, I occasionally experiment with editing,” she wrote on X in the wake of the controversy. “I wanted to express my apologies for any confusion caused by the family photo we shared yesterday.”
The princess tweeted her apology after leading photo agencies – including Reuters, Associated Press, Getty and Agence France-Presse – retracted the photo due to numerous signs suggesting it had been doctored.
