Kevin Spacey has been rewarded with a standing ovation after appearing at an Oxford University lecture on cancel culture.
In what is believed to be his first appearance on stage since his acquittal of sexual assault charges earlier this year, Spacey performed a five-minute scene from William Shakespeare’s play. Timon of Athens.
It was presented by writer and free speech advocate Douglas Murray, who gave his take on what Shakespeare can teach us about cancel culture as part of a lecture he gave in memory of philosopher Sir Roger Scruton.
