Mario Movie Leak reveals first look at Yoshi and Fire Mario

A new leak for Nintendo fans has revealed the first look at both Yoshi and Fire Mario in the new Mario movie, or some kind. The leak comes from some supposed yet to be revealed merchandise for the game or more specifically some gnomes. According to the leak, the statues in question are prototypes, which is good news for everyone who is interested in buying them as they are not easy on the eyes. For that reason, what they reveal should probably be taken with a grain of salt, but given Mario, Peach, and Toad generally look like their movie counterparts, or at least this is an attempt, it’s safe to assume Yoshi’s and Fire Mario’s statues in general are charades as well.

That’s right, the leaked figurines include Yoshi and Fire Mario, neither of which we’ve seen in movie form yet. As you can see, Yoshi looks a lot like Yoshi, while Fire Mario looks like the Fire Mario version of Mario in the movie. In other words, there are no surprises here.

Below, you can check out the statues for yourself:

For now, this is just a leak, and so everything here should be taken with a grain of salt. In addition, the leak indicates that the depicted figurines are prototypes, which means another grain of salt has to be taken because even if this leak is real, it might not be very clear.

As of the moment of publication, none of the parties involved have commented on any of this. If this changes, we’ll be sure to update the story accordingly. The leak appeared online over a holiday so radio silence is to be expected, however, leaks like this don’t usually spark comment so this probably won’t change over the holidays or not.

The Super Mario Bros. movie is set to premiere. on April 7 in the United States and on April 28 in Japan. It remains to be seen how well it will fare but the sheer hype, IP attached to it, and the fact that video game adaptations are in vogue now points to a huge success at the box office.
