Michael J Fox Christopher Lloyd is pleased “Back to the future” fans when they reunited this weekend, 37 years after the sci-fi comedy was released.

The pair, who starred respectively as time-traveling high school student Marty McFly and eccentric “Doc” Emmett Brown in the blockbuster 1985 film and its sequel, appeared together at New York Comic Con on Saturday to speak at a panel about the legacy of the modern classic.

Lloyd, 83, made sure to document the moving moment by sharing a photo of the pair embracing the stage at Comic Con on his Instagram Stories. The caption reads: “Thank you @newyorkcomiccon, you’ve been great.”

The event was made to reunite the legendary dimensions and fans couldn’t contain their excitement after footage and photos of the beloved duo started circulating across the internet.

“Michael J. Fox and Christopher Lloyd’s reunion at Comic Con is all the helpful content you need on Sunday,” one person tweeted.

Another wrote: “If you were a teenager in 1985, then Michael J. Fox was the guy for you. Marty McFly in Back to the Future is the coolest teen in movie history. Watching him hug Christopher Lloyd like that is so beautiful.”

Meanwhile, Fox To be honored by the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences at this year’s Governors Awards for his contributions to film and his efforts to help treat Parkinson’s disease.

The 61-year-old star, who was diagnosed with the disease in 1991 at the age of 29, founded the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Disease Research in 2000.

He will receive the Academy’s Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award at the event scheduled for November 19.
