This latest announcement brings the total number of Israeli soldiers killed to 65 since the start of the ground operation in Gaza.
On Sunday morning, the Israeli army published the names of two more soldiers killed during fighting in the northern Gaza Strip.
Captain (Res.) Roy Pepper was 28 years old, from Tzur Moshe. He was a squad leader in the Yahalom unit in the combat engineering corps, and he fell in a battle in the northern Gaza Strip.
Sergeant Benjamin Meir Early was 21 years old, from Beit Shemesh. He was a fighter in the 101st Battalion, Paratroopers Brigade, and fell in the battle in the northern Gaza Strip.
Their deaths bring the total number of Israeli soldiers who have fallen since the start of the ground operation to 65, of whom 58 were killed in the fighting inside Gaza.
Over the weekend, the Israeli army announced the killing of six soldiers: Sergeant Shlomo Gortovnik, 21, from Modi’in; Lieutenant Eden Professor, 21 years old, from Alfei Menashe; Sergeant Adi Malak Harav, 19 years old, from Beit Jinn; Sergeant Shakar Friedman, 21 years old, from Jerusalem; Officer Jamal Abbas (23); and Staff Sergeant (Res.) David (Dodi) Digme, 43, of Rishon LeZion.
