'True Detective' season 4 received perfect scores ahead of its release date

True Detective has been an action-packed ride since it debuted in 2014. In ten years, we will now have four seasons of the show. But so far, Season 4 is the best-reviewed entry yet, even higher than Season 1, with critics who watched early speaking highly of the series.

The shows are anthologies, but the drop in quality between seasons one and two specifically was somewhat legendary, and a huge disappointment to fans. Season 3 was much better, but fans haven't bite yet. Of course, Foster has previously played law enforcement in her legendary role in Silence of the Lambs, and it goes without saying that everyone is excited to see her back in a high-profile murder mystery like this. These early reviews suggest that this won't be another huge flop like Season 2, and that Issa Lopez has cooked up something worth watching.
