Supporters of West Ham and Fiorentina clashed on the streets of the Czech capital on Wednesday as they flocked to Prague in large numbers to attend the Europa League final.
Unfortunately, this was to be expected given the commitments of both clubs. 16 arrests but few injuries
Well built up by a strong police force from the start of the day, some fans managed to escape the authorities’ surveillance and briefly put up a fight.
After a few incidents on the streets of Prague, the police quickly intervened and arrested several people. According to the initial report by the authorities, more than fifteen gangsters belonging to two clubs were arrested by the police.

No serious injuries were confirmed after Fiorentina fans attacked West Ham fans, but in a statement, local authorities confirmed three injuries to England fans and another to police.
“Italian fans attacked West Ham supporters at a bar on Rytirska Street, injuring three, Czech police confirmed in a statement. A police officer was also attacked.”
Last chance for West Ham and Fiorentina
After a troubled season in the Premier League, the final sprint saw West Ham lose their grip. But the London club ended up far from European destinations. The Europa Conference League final is the last chance for Lucas Paqueta’s men to play in Europe next season.
Ditto for Fiorentina, who are languishing in eighth place in Serie A, needing a win on Wednesday to secure continental qualification for the Europa League.
