The only English players who have ten “high strengths” per week in training

“It is recommended to do a maximum of ten heads with more strength in a week’s training. This recommendation is given to protect the interests of the players and will be constantly reviewed as more research is done”. The Football Association (FA), the Premier League and the English Football League (EFL) said in a joint statement. All players, professionals and amateur players are affected by the recommendation.

The move was prompted by the recent publication of studies on the long-term risks of repeated strong head shots by footballers. Repeating the gesture at a very high frequency can cause brain damage to athletes and veterans as well as the possibility of developing neurological disorders.

Suggestions will be sent to the clubs

A “superior force” title is considered to occur after a long pass (over 35 meters) or after a cross, corner or free kick. Counseling will be sent to clubs on training practices to work on head technique using low power.
