A woman has been arrested after breaking into Robert De Niro’s home in New York City, a source said

New York City police arrested a woman who broke into Robert De Niro’s home early Monday, according to a law enforcement source.

She had already been arrested twice this month prior to Monday on various burglary charges in New York, a law enforcement source told CNN.

Officers from the 19th Precinct saw the woman walking down a street on Manhattan’s Upper East Side early Monday, trying various doors to commercial buildings before breaking through the door of an apartment building.

The source said they followed her and arrested her on the first floor.

At approximately 2:45 a.m., officers arrested the 30-year-old woman inside a residence as she attempted to remove the property, a spokesperson for the NYPD’s deputy commissioner of information told CNN. The property included Christmas gifts and an iPad.

The spokesman said the door to the basement of the house showed signs of forced entry. The woman has been taken into custody with charges pending.

The spokesman did not confirm who owns the house.
