Nintendo Switch Online adds Fire Emblem as a new GBA title

Fire Emblem Nintendo Switch Online

The next game has been revealed in the Game Boy Advance library Nintendo Switch Online, with Nintendo bringing Fire Emblem to the service in a few days. It will be available on June 22, 2023.

Otherwise known as Fire Emblem: The Blazing Blade, the GBA game will be available to those who are part of the expansion pack category for Nintendo Switch Online. We have some information on it below.

Featuring all the fierce tactical combat and rich storytelling packed with intrigue that the series is known for, Fire Emblem was the first installment in the series to be released outside of Japan. In addition, it also marked the debut of the protagonist Lyn, who you may know as the Blazing Emblem from Fire Emblem Engage!

In Fire Emblem, the nation of Lycia is on the brink of war after centuries of peace. Unrest mounts as noble houses plot betrayal, allies become enemies and armies prepare for battle… all while a shadowy figure manipulates empires from the shadows. Now Lin, along with Eliwood and Hector, must rally their army to fight against the forces that will destroy everything they hold dear – and before the world burns to ashes.

Over the course of the story, you’ll gather heroes to your side, train them to excel with a wide range of weapons and classes, and further hone their skills on the battlefield. In battle, strategize your course of action around a variety of terrain and conditions. Then take command of the field and lead your units to victory by achieving specific objectives. But be warned: in this Fire Emblem game, if your soldiers meet their end, they’re gone forever.
