Taylor Swift Fans are really getting to see “Red” after a massive spike in pre-sale ticket demand for its new tour led to major issues on Ticketmaster Tuesday.
Ticket platform announce that it was being forced to delay the pre-sale release of tickets for its West Coast concerts until 3 p.m. after it said hundreds of thousands of tickets had already sold during “historically unprecedented demand”.

A slew of angry fans in online waiting rooms took to social media to vent their frustration with Ticketmaster over the pre-sale ticket process for Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour. Some said they had been waiting “in line” for nearly four hours and had not yet had a chance to choose tickets.
“Sitting in a paused queue for over 2 hours for tickets to Taylor Swift’s Era Tour is my wicked origin story,” one fan wrote on Twitter.
The usual $60 nosebleed seats are said to retail for $700. One fan said they found a ticket that retails for $33,750.
Ticketmaster said in the newspaper statement Tuesday. “If you’re currently on a waiting list, please wait a while – queues are moving and we’re working to get fans on board as quickly as possible.”
What is the Ticketmaster Certified Fan Program?
The pre-sale tickets were only for “certified” Swift fans, with the intention of ensuring that loyal “Swifties” could get tickets to the star’s big show with a special pre-sale code.
Ticketmaster introduced the “Verified Fans” program in 2017 registered program if they are selected for a pre-sale code or if they are placed on a waiting list before tickets are released for mass sale.
Last week, Taylor Swift announced that she was adding eight more shows, and in addition to the 17 additional shows the star has already taken to the Eras Tour, according to press release From Ticketmaster on November 11th.
