Capcom isn’t one to shy away from crossovers with other video games, and now it looks like we can add anime to that list as well.

The company has just released a special animated short for Spy x Family vs. Street Fighter 6 ahead of the fighting game’s upcoming collaboration event.

The animation is about a minute long and comes from Wit Studio, who also handles the actual animation for Spy x Family, and it’s very colorful to say the least.

Things kick off with Yor Forger in her black dress facing off with Chun-Li on SF6’s Nayshall Stage in the same 2D perspective as the fighting game before trading blows in a flashy sequence.

There have been teasers about this collaboration between Spy x Family and Street Fighter 6 before, and now we know more about it in terms of the fighting game.

Starting January 9, 2024, collaboration items will be added to SF6 for a limited time to coincide with the upcoming Spy x Family Code: White movie.

They haven’t really said what these items will be yet, but if it’s a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles crossover, it will likely focus on avatar items and other things like stickers to use in the Battle Hub – so expect to see a collection of Anya everywhere soon.

Having Chun-Li in Yor’s dress would be great for an actual costume for her although we kind of doubt that will happen at the moment since they just released costume 3 in the game.

This actually isn’t the first crossover anime SF6 has had in its already short life since Baki the Grappler came out earlier this year, bringing them back with more Battle Hub stuff now.
