Michel Martel's CE1-CE2 students from the Victor-Hugo school had a double experience on Tuesday 30 January 2024, together with basketball players from ADA Blois and restaurant Le Petit Honfleur. This event has previously been the subject of classwork on sports, food and the world of the English language. To top it off, the little school students walked from their school to the Jeu de Paume. At the site, they were first invited to attend the training of the players and for 50 minutes they were very attentive.
Then there was a time for discussion with the athletes, where they could ask questions prepared in class, with enough space reserved for food: “What did you have for breakfast?” », “Do you like sausage? », “Are you allowed to drink soda? “. Maxim (back of the team) and Landry (pivot) participated in the exercise with great grace, happily ending their answers with a comment. A short series of questions asked in English made the exercise difficult before the inevitable time for selfies and autographs.
The second part of the activity will take place on February 5th at Le Petit Honfleur restaurant, where the children will participate in the morning, preparing a meal that they will share with the players.
