Championship club Plymouth have formalized Wayne Rooney’s arrival on Argyle’s bench. The Englishman has found a club at the forefront of the Premier League since leaving Birmingham City last January.
Plymouth, just five points ahead of the Manchester United legend’s former club, held on at the last minute for a first season in the second division.

Wayne Rooney has coached three different clubs throughout his career. His first team will be Derby County between 2020 and 2022. The Englishman scored 1.16 points per game. In the summer of 2022, he moved to his former club DC United before returning to the British crown with Birmingham.
Six months later, the England legend was sacked after scoring just ten points in 15 games played. His team was also relegated at the end of the season.
