Officially announcing the Jurassic Park Classic Games collection

After being teased a few months ago, Limited Run Games has finally revealed its next collection of classic Jurassic Park games, all to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the 1993 movie.

highlighted during the day LRG3 displayThe retro games publisher is working with Universal Games and Digital Platforms to release physical and digital copies of two Jurassic Park titles, Jurassic Park Classic Games Collection. While two games may not voice Like many, the collection will feature all versions of the two titles, which have been released across NES, SNES, and Game Boy – Jurassic Park and Jurassic Park 2: The Chaos Continues.

The physical releases come in three different types – Standard, Classic, and Prehistoric Editions. Pre-orders for these products will open September 1st and will be available through October 15th on the Limited Run Games website. Each release will contain the following:

Standard Edition – $29.99

  • A physical copy from the Jurassic Park Classic Games collection

Classic Edition – $64.99:

  • A physical copy from the Jurassic Park Classic Games collection
  • Steelbook
  • Original Jurassic Park VHS box inspired packaging

Prehistoric Edition – $174.99:

  • A physical copy from the Jurassic Park Classic Games collection
  • Steelbook
  • Original Jurassic Park VHS box inspired packaging
  • Replica of Dr. Alan Grant’s ID card from Jurassic Park
  • Soundtrack CD with original music from the Jurassic Park Classic Games collection
  • Tiny replicas of original Jurassic Park NES, Game Boy and SNES game cartridges in a custom display case
  • Packaging inspired by classic Jurassic Park games

Limited running games don’t stop there either. You’ll be able to pick up NES, Game Boy, and SNES cartridges of the titles, too, which will come with replica game manuals for each game. The standard version of these will cost between $49.99 – $69.99depending on which console you want to buy it for.

There are also collector’s editions of the games, which will cost $99.99 per cartridge, but for that extra price, the cartridge itself will be amber in color and will light up. You’ll also receive a double-sided sticker and numbered foil-stamped coupon.
