A British national wanted by a British judge for premeditated murder and illegal possession of a firearm was recently arrested by the National Guard at the port of Tanger-Med.
A press release from the General Directorate of National Security explained that the suspect, who was hidden in the trailer of an international road transport truck from a port of Spain, pretended to be a Maltese national and submitted suspicious identification documents. (DGSN).
A recognition and identification operation conducted through international security cooperation channels revealed that the suspect was in fact a 42-year-old Englishman wanted by a British court for serious offenses of premeditated murder and illegal possession and use.
