During an interview with People, Nick Cannon revealed the truth that he fathered 12 children from six different mothers in less than ten years.
“I know that my lifestyle is different to society and that it may be considered unconventional in some respects,” he said. “But the purpose of my life is to love my children, to be there for them, to give them, as I always say, I love abundantly.”
Nick Cannon has insisted he takes full responsibility as a father despite the “stories spread” about him and his life.
As a reminder, the star has Moroccan and Monroe, 11-year-old twins, with his ex-wife Mariah Carey. He is also the father of Golden, Powerful Queen and Rise with Brittany Bell, twins Jillian and Zion, and Beautiful with Abby De La Rosa. With Bre Dicey, he fathered Legendary Love, then Onyx with Lanisha Cole and Halo Mary with Alyssa Scott. Jen, the son of Nick Cannon and Alyssa Scott, died of brain cancer at five months in 2021.
“It’s so weird that some people won’t buy it or understand it,” the artist added. “This is the life I was given; I chose to live this way, to love my family, to love my children.”
